This bowl is innovative in design, yet pure in its form, with elements of antique China but with an overall modern look. A vase of this series was selected for "innovation competition at Maison&Objet 2022".
This version is half a globe shape with diam. 20 cm and 10 cm tall. Made of high-end Chinese (tea) pottery, with a bronze layer fading to black.
Element Accessories stands for fusion of EU and Chinese knowhow in design and production techniques. This series was designed by Chinese design talent: SUNs, winner of Red-Dot Award. The aim is to popularize a New Modern Chinese style, with a new and unique identity, “from made in to designed in China”.
The OTARU series combines traditions of the Song dynasty (tiny bronze legs) with modern minimalism; production technique using high temp. resisting clay; and a mineral glaze with natural ore, skillfully kiln fired (1360°C), to achieve a natural look + feel of bronze fading to black.
